Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. likely to miss practice time with sore leg

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Odell Beckham Jr.'s injured left leg was extremely sore Monday, and he's likely to miss practice time this week, according to a source.

The Giants had their first full-pads workout of the summer on Tuesday and Beckham did not practice, but was out on a side field working with a trainer.

Beckham hurt his leg during Sunday's practice when he became entangled with cornerback Janoris Jenkins on a deep pass down the sideline. He limped off the field and eventually left practice.

The Giants said Beckham had cuts on his leg. He later called it a "minor setback."

Coach Ben McAdoo added, "He's probably going to be sore here for a couple days."

Beckham's soreness is in the ankle area.

Beckham had 93 catches for 1,450 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. His 25 receiving touchdowns are the most for any wide receiver over the past two years.
