Jags re-sign TE O'Shaughnessy to third season

The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed tight end James O'Shaughnessy, the team announced Thursday.

O'Shaughnessy is the second tight end in team has signed in the past week after the addition of unrestricted free agent Geoff Swaim, who spent the past four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

O'Shaughnessy caught 38 passes for 363 yards and one touchdown as a reserve the past two seasons with the Jaguars after spending the previous two seasons with Kansas City.

He caught just eight passes for 86 yards in 23 games with the Chiefs, who drafted him in the fifth round in 2015 out of Illinois State.

The Chiefs traded O'Shaughnessy and a sixth-round pick to New England for a fifth-round pick on the third day of the 2017 draft. O'Shaughnessy was waived during final cuts and the Jaguars claimed him the next day.
