Houston Texans alarmed by recent flu bug, initially feared COVID-19 outbreak

A flu beg swept through the Houston Texans this past week that alarmed the franchise.

The Texans attributed it to the weather conditions during last Sunday's loss to the Browns in Cleveland.

But there were initial concerns that star left tackle Laremy Tunsil and two assistant coaches somehow contracted COVID-19, sources told ESPN. Virus testing proved otherwise, but all were diagnosed to have the flu.

Tunsil missed practice all week and will not play Sunday against the New England Patriots. The two assistant coaches each missed a day of work this past week but will work Sunday's game.
