Source: Ben Leber to sign with Rams

Linebacker Ben Leber, one of the best remaining players on the open market, agreed to a one-year, $1.25 million deal with the St. Louis Rams, a source said Tuesday.

With incentives, Leber could earn up to $1.75 million with the new one-year deal, the source said. The Rams guaranteed $150,000 of the contract.

Leber had been talking to the Seattle Seahawks and other teams, but Leber's final decision was to go with the Rams.

Drafted in 2002 out of Kansas State by the Chargers, Leber spent his first four seasons in San Diego. In 2006 he joined the Minnesota Vikings and registered 46 tackles there last season.
