Mike Pouncey to sit out with illness

Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey will not play Sunday against the San Diego Chargers because of an illness.

Pouncey's absence means the Dolphins will be without three starters on their offensive line for the home game against the Chargers.

Miami's offensive line already has taken a hit after the Dolphins suspended guard Richie Incognito for his alleged role in the bullying scandal that came to light after right tackle Jonathan Martin left the team on Oct. 28.

Backup offensive tackle Will Yeatman also suffered a significant knee injury Wednesday and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

The Dolphins will shift starting guard Nate Garner to replace Pouncey at center. Sam Brenner, who was just called up from the practice squad Saturday, will start at guard.

Miami has lost five of its last six games after starting the season 3-0.
