The good news from the Steelers practice report: JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was a full participant. This day a week ago, he left practice early and wound up not playing on Sunday. The bad news: Joe Haden didn't practice with a foot injury. He just popped up on the injury report today. Nick Vannett (illness) didn't practice.

I asked Duck Hodges what happened the last time he had a bad game. He said his last truly bad outing was vs. FSU (475 yds, 2 TD, 4 INT). The next week, he had 300 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT vs. Mercer. "A lot of people might say I had a good game, but I think I threw four picks in that game. I remember coming back the next week and throwing for three or four touchdowns. I'm not saying that is what I am going to do this week, but I have always been able to put it in the past and move on. They happen."

JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was limited in practice today. Mike Tomlin essentially said that was the plan earlier in the week - to let him practice and see how his knee reacted. Last week, he overdid it on Wednesday and felt the effects on Thursday. Doing too much, too soon kept him from playing against the Bills.
