A quick update from the restaurant here in Bristol, puckheads. We were told tonight that the Montreal Canadiens were no longer in the bidding for Olli Jokinen.

A source told ESPN.com that the Habs felt they couldn't pull off a trade for cap reasons. Jokinen earns $5.25 million this season and $5.5 million next season.

The Habs have a bit of cap room left but would have to move a player or two to accommodate Jokinen.

There remains strong interest for Jokinen elsewhere, however, and he may move tomorrow.
