Francis, Willis won't play in Game 5

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Carolina's Ron Francis and Shane Willis, both victims of jarring hits from New Jersey's Scott Stevens, will not play in tonight's Game 5 against the Devils.
Francis, Carolina's captain, and Willis are still suffering from concussions after taking hits from Stevens in Games 2 and 3, respectively. Defenseman Marek Malik also is out for the Hurricanes with a groin injury.
The Devils lead the first-round playoff series 3-1. The Hurricanes avoided a four-game sweep on Wednesday night with a 3-2 overtime victory. Rod Brind'Amour scored just 46 seconds into overtime to keep the Hurricanes' slim chances alive in the series.
