Devils must pay for shirking interview duties
Associated Press

NEW YORK -- The New Jersey Devils were fined $25,000 Sunday for
violating NHL playoff regulations regarding media availability.
During the Stanley Cup Conference Finals and Stanley Cup Championship
Series, clubs are required to make available, on a daily basis, the general
manager, head coach, captain, alternate captains and a representative number
of first-string players.
The Devils did not meet that requirement on Sunday. The fine money goes to the NHL Foundation, which funds charitable causes and
youth hockey initiatives, the NHL said.
