ESPN.com news services

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Douglas Moss, president and chief executive officer of the International Hockey League since 1998, was hired Tuesday by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks as a senior vice president.

Moss, 48, will be responsible for the overall business operations of the Ducks, including management of Disney ICE, the team's practice facility.

Pierre Gauthier was fired last Friday as president and general manager of the Ducks. Gauthier was in charge of both the business and hockey aspects of the organization.
