Bergevin returns two months after trade

Associated Press

PITTSBURGH -- Defenseman Marc Bergevin is returning to the Pittsburgh Penguins, two months after being traded to Tampa Bay.

The Penguins reacquired Bergevin from the Lightning on Monday in exchange for a ninth-round pick in this year's NHL draft.

Bergevin was traded to Tampa Bay on March 11 for center Brian Holzinger.

The 37-year-old Bergevin played in 69 games for Pittsburgh last season, getting two goals and five assists. He played in one game for the Lightning, without scoring.

Bergevin has 35 goals, 135 assists and 1,061 penalty minutes in 19 NHL seasons.
