Boston Bruins: Veteran defenseman Ian Moran was one of four unrestricted free agents who signed one-year contracts with the team on Monday.

The other players were center Doug Doull and left wing Pat Leahy, who played in the AHL last season, and left wing Robert Liscak, who appeared in one AHL playoff game for Providence after playing four seasons at Maine.

The Bruins acquired Moran from the Pittsburgh Penguins late last season for a fourth-round draft pick. In 441 career NHL games he has 19 goals, 45 assists and 283 penalty minutes. He has one goal and seven assists in 66 career playoff games.

Leahy 20 goals and 23 assists for the Bruins' top minor-league club last season; Doull has played seven minor league seasons, and had 15 goals, 10 assists and 257 penalty minutes last season; Liscak had 46 goals and 58 assists in his college career and was a member of the 2002 Frozen Four all-tournament team.

Phoenix Coyotes: The Coyotes have signed restricted free-agent goaltender Zac Bierk to a one-year contract and avoided salary arbitration, executive vice president and general manager Michael Barnett announced Monday.

Bierk, 26, played 16 games with the Coyotes last season, posting a 4-9-1 record with a 2.17 goals-against average, a .932 save percentage and one shutout. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1995 Entry Draft. The Coyotes signed him as a free agent on August 30, 2001.

Los Angeles Kings: The Kings have signed defensemen Brad Norton and Maxim Kuznetsov to one-year deals, Kings general manager Dave Taylor announced.

Norton, 28, played in 53 games for the Kings last season, garnering 97 penalty minutes, second most on the team. Norton signed with the Kings last Oct. 8, making the team as a non-roster player.

Kuznetsov, 26, played in only three games for the Kings last season after playing in 53 games for the Detroit Red Wings, where he registered three assists and 54 penalty minutes.

New York Rangers: Free-agent right wing Paul Healey agreed to terms with the Rangers on Monday.

Healey had three goals, seven assists and 16 penalty minutes in 44 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season and also played in 17 AHL games.

The 6-foot-2, 198-pound Healey has six goals, 14 assists and 30 penalty minutes in 71 career NHL games with Toronto and Philadelphia. He also has played in 22 playoff games.

Vancouver Canucks: Swedish twins Daniel and Henrik Sedin signed new contracts with the team.

Daniel, a left wing, had 14 goals and 17 assists last season. He has 43 goals and 54 assists in 233 career games for Vancouver.

Henrik, a center, had eight goals and 31 assists for a career-high 39 points last season. His career totals are 33 goals and 71 assists in 242 games.

Daniel was the No. 2 overall pick in the 1999 draft, one spot ahead of Henrik.

Minnesota Wild: GM Doug Risebrough announced that the team has signed free agent center Marc Chouinard. Terms were not disclosed.

Chouinard, 26, set career highs in games played (70) and penalty minutes (40) with Anaheim during the 2002-03 season. The 6-foot-5, 218-pound center also appeared in 15 playoff games with the Mighty Ducks, who lost in the Stanley Cup Finals to the New Jersey Devils in seven games.
