Aucoin to have shoulder surgery

The Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday announced
that defenseman Adrian Aucoin will undergo surgery to repair a
dislocated right shoulder suffered against the Calgary Flames on
Sunday.

The Blackhawks said the surgery tentatively is scheduled for
sometime next week and he will be out indefinitely.

The announcement comes one day after the team disclosed the
injury and said he would be out four to six weeks.

The 6-2, 211-pound Aucoin, 32, suffered the injury in the first
period of Chicago's 5-3 home loss.

Aucoin has one goal, five assists and a minus-13 rating for the
Blackhawks, who are in fourth place in the Central Division at
17-28-6.
