Varlamov tweaks injury in rehab game

Washington Capitals goalie Semyon Varlamov tweaked a lower-body injury during a rehab stint and is expected to miss two more weeks, the team said Monday.

Varlamov's setback happened during an AHL game against Adirondack on Sunday. He made 28 saves in a 4-1 win.

Varlamov has been sidelined since Dec. 7 and has been with the team's AHL affiliate in Hershey for just under a week.

The 21-year-old was selected for Russia's Olympic team on Christmas Day.
