Spin: Ehlers was in a non-contact jersey Thursday, so this is a big step forward for the winger. Ehlers is still expected to miss the Jets' next two preseason games. He had 12 goals and 38 points in only 45 games last season.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Ehlers played just two games for the Jets at the start of the 2022-23 season before undergoing sports hernia surgery and missing two and a half months of action. He played in every game for Winnipeg the rest of the way before suffering an upper-body injury which cost him the team's regular-season finale and four of the five games in its first-round playoff series loss to Vegas. Ehlers finished the year with a dozen goals and 38 points in 45 games. He should be ready to roll for training camp, making Ehlers a clear bounce-back candidate from a fantasy perspective in 2023-24. His 9.1 shooting percentage last season was his lowest mark since his 2015-16 rookie campaign, meaning he is due for some positive regression in addition to a return to presumed full health.
