ESPN Fantasy Projection: There's a real case to be made that Pastrnak was the best player in the NHL not named Connor McDavid in 2022-23. He was the only player other than McDavid to receive a first-place vote for MVP, and his 61 goals placed him second in the NHL only behind McDavid. Pastrnak's 113 points were a new career-high, and his 407 shots on goal were 41 more than any other skater. He was rewarded with a new eight-year, $90 million contract extension in March. It's a stretch to forecast back-to-back 60-goal campaigns from any player, but Pastrnak should easily flirt with 50 tallies if he remains healthy. He's an easy first-round pick in all formats.
