Fantasy Hockey
News: 4 days agoPanarin (lower body) is practicing in a regular jersey Thursday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports.
Spin: Panarin didn't practice Tuesday or Wednesday with the injury. The Rangers thought that Panarin would be out short term and it appears that he's already ready to return to the lineup. Panarin had 29 goals and 92 points in 82 games last season.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Panarin's disappearing act was a driving force behind the Rangers' loss to New Jersey in seven games in Round 1 of the playoffs last year, but he was his usual stellar self in the regular season, posting 90-plus points (92) for a second straight season. In fact, Panarin has cracked the 90-point barrier in three of four seasons with New York, and the year he didn't was the COVID-shortened 2020-21 campaign. Panarin is a true unicorn. He's undersized, but he almost never loses a battle for the puck. Toss in the fact he has 73 points with the man advantage over the course of the past two campaigns and you have a player that remains a rock-solid option on draft day.
