ESPN Fantasy Projection: Many believed Knight was finally primed to steal the No. 1 goaltending job from Sergei Bobrovsky in Florida last season, but it didn't work out for a variety of reasons. Knight was banged-up and didn't play well when healthy (9-8-3 record, 3.18 GAA, .901 save percentage). He entered the NHL-NHLPA Player Assistance Program in late February and didn't play again for the remainder of the season. Obviously neither the team nor the league released any details regarding a situation like that, so Knight's status heading into the upcoming season is a little murky. It's worth noting the Panthers signed Anthony Stolarz to a one-year deal to potentially serve as Bobrovsky's backup for 2023-24.
