He has neither the confidence nor the calmness to go behind his net to make a play. He prefers stopping the puck and set it for his defensemen. The opposition will try to force him to make a play.

He's learned to take away time and space from the shooters. Instead of moving side to side, he goes out to the shooter. To beat him, move the puck to an open man, getting Boucher out of position.
