Jonsson, Stevens look to return
Associated Press

PITTSBURGH – The Penguins may be able to fill in their roster a little earlier than expected for the playoffs.

Hans Jonsson missed the final five regular-season games because of an infected elbow but was skating Wednesday during the team's 40-minute workout at Southpointe.

Jonsson says his elbow feels a lot better. But he says he won't return until at least the second game of the series against the Capitals.

Left winger Kevin Stevens says he's optimistic he'll be able to play Thursday night despite nursing a sprained knee.

Stevens says he didn't have the same shooting pains in his legs yesterday he had earlier in the week.

He says if he sees the same improvement he's seen over the last couple days he'll be in uniform tonight.
