Roberto Luongo leaves game early

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo left the Canucks' game Sunday night against the Winnipeg Jets because of an unspecified injury.

Luongo left the ice with 3:30 left in the first period. Earlier, he was knocked to the ice in a goal-mouth collision with Winnipeg's Blake Wheeler.

Eddie Lack took over in goal, and Luongo wasn't on the bench at the start of the second period.

Luongo was a member of Canada's gold-medal winning team in the 2010 Olympics and is in the running for a spot in the Sochi Games next year. He has a 16-9-6 record this season.
