Defenseman Justin Schultz, Oilers agree to one-year deal worth $3.9M

EDMONTON, Alberta -- Justin Schultz and the Edmonton Oilers avoided a salary arbitration hearing, agreeing to a $3.9 million, one-year contract Wednesday.

Schultz, a 25-year-old defenseman, made $3.675 million last season. He had six goals and 25 assists in 81 games last season and has 25 goals and 66 assists in 203 NHL games, all with the Oilers.
