St. Louis fans chant 'Kroenke sucks' amid ceremonial puck drop

St. Louis Blues owner Tom Stillman, wearing a St. Louis Cardinals jacket, and Cardinals owner Bill DeWitt III, wearing a Blues jacket, were at center ice for the Blues' game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night to drop the puck as a sign of support for the city of St. Louis.

As they dropped the puck, the crowd erupted into a chant of "Kroenke sucks," directed at Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who is moving the city's NFL team to Los Angeles for the 2016 season.

Until October, Kroenke had also owned the NHL's Colorado Avalanche and NBA's Denver Nuggets; he transferred ownership of those to his wife in preparation for the NFL relocation bid.

Blues PA announcer Tom Calhoun lauded Stillman and DeWitt as they left the ice, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

"Thank you for your support of sports in St. Louis," Calhoun said.

The Blues followed up the ceremony with a tweet of the event.
