St. Louis Blues forward Alexander Steen expects to play in Tuesday's game against the Colorado Avalanche after missing more than five weeks with an upper-body injury.

"You're probably going to see me on the ice tomorrow," Steen told reporters after Monday's practice.

Steen, 32, has missed St. Louis' last 15 games after a hit by Coyotes defenseman Kevin Connauton.

He is the Blues' second-leading scorer this season with 17 goals and 30 assists in 61 games. He had a career-high 64 points last season, good for second on the team behind Vladimir Tarasenko.

Despite a rash of injuries this season, the Blues are tied with the Dallas Stars atop the Central Division and the Western Conference with 99 points. They have clinched a playoff berth.
