Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin has been through two days of practice this week as he recovers from an Achilles tendon injury and is hopeful he can play in Game 1 of the playoffs Thursday.

Seguin, who has 33 goals and 40 assists this season, missed the last 10 games of the season.

"I thought today he was better," head coach Lindy Ruff said Tuesday, according to The Dallas Morning News. "He looked markedly better to me, which is an improvement. I had a short conversation with him out there, so second day on the ice was better than the first."

Neither Seguin nor Mattias Janmark, who has an upper-body injury, was skating on lines in practice.

The Stars had the best record in the Western Conference and open the postseason at home against the Minnesota Wild.
