Associated Press

WARSAW, Poland -- Nizami Pashayev of Azerbaijan won the men's 94-kilogram Sunday at the World Weightlifting World Championships.

Agata Wrobel of Poland finished first in the women's 75 kg.

Pashayev had a snatch of 177½ kg, 215 kg in the clean and jerk, and a total of 392½ kg.

Milen Dobrev of Bulgaria took the silver with a total of 387½ kg, followed by Oliver Caruso of Germany.

Wrobel won her first world title when she jerked 125 kg and lifted 162½ kg in clean and snatch for a total of 287½ kg.

Wrobel said she was thinking of boycotting the championships after teammates Aleksandra Klejnowska and Dominika Misterska were disqualified in April for suspected doping.

Albina Khomich of Russia finished second, with Tang Gonghong of China third.
