QUEBEC, CANADA. THE RUPERT RIVER
Cyril is back on the Land of the Cree Aboriginals, this time to fish the beautiful Rupert River, known for its big pike, fat walleye, gorgeous speckled trout and even lake trout. Starting at Louis Jolliet Outfitters, a beautiful log cabin camp in the forest on the shore of the Rupert River, Cyril meets up with Stanley, one of the camp guides. They head out fishing to one of Stanley's many walleye spots. As soon as their lines are wet, a couple of respectable walleye are on. However, Stanley thinks the big walleye will be on later in the day. In the meantime he has a pretty good pike spot for Cyril. Soon, Cyril has his first Rupert river encounter with a monster northern pike! The next day, they catch a Canadian " Bush Taxi"- a float plane, then trek across the taiga to one of Stanley's spots to catch XL brook trout in a beautiful remote river. Cyril's adventure continues down the Rupert River to a more rustic camp, fishing with the Awashish Family at Awashish Camp. There, Cyril meets his guide Leslie Awashish who knows this huge area like the back of his hand and puts Cyril onto some good walleye and pike from boat and shore. To top it all off, Leslie lands a beautiful lake trout.

Massive Giant Trevally, lure busting dog tooth tuna and aggressive tiger fish are on Cyril's list.... He starts his adventure in Dar Es Salaam, the biggest city of the country, where he meets with Jason and Maddy, two locals who spend most of their time fishing. Jason has the reputation of being one of the best saltwater fisherman in the country and he sure will live up to his reputation! He puts Cyril right on the fish out here in the Indian Ocean, and together they wrestle with a couple of massive 70 pound Giant Trevally and dog Tooth tuna . After pulling these impressive creatures from the depths of the ocean, Cyril wants to try popper fishing from the shore. Swimming to a nearby coral island from the boat, Cyril finds himself surrounded by hundreds of birds and he is soon glad he is using 130 pound leader so he does not break off as he pulls the big fish out of the coral! The next day, Cyril gets out with some local fishermen on their wooden sail boat. His target, a tuna or a sailfish caught the traditional way: A handline and his bare hands!!! Then back on the continent, he now leaves for a 15 hour drive in a jeep to get to the remote Kilombero Valley, known for having rivers loaded with one of Africa's strongest, most acrobatic and possibly toothiest fresh water fish, the Tiger fish. Cyril's reel is soon screaming as he gets into some explosive tiger fish action…

Cyril has always heard that the waters of the Atlantic Ocean off Guiana, South America hold an incredible variety of big fish…. But what Cyril also has come to land is a truly special fish that looks like it has come from another planet: The evil looking giant traira. With its dark bulging eyes, big mouth, nasty teeth and bad temper, this is not a fish to mess with!!!
Cyril starts off on the Atlantic Ocean, with a day of salt water fishing with Pascal and a group of his friends. They fish a pinnacle that holds some stubborn cubera snapper and spool emptying kingfish. Then Cyril meets with Francis and Thia, two locals who have a passion for the giant traira. Together, they go on a two day expedition up the Sinamary river, through untamed jungle, in a motorized canoe to fish this monster-like predator in the tiny pools of some distant rapids... Wading and stumbling in these fast flowing waters, Cyril will soon have a better idea why this bruiser is renowned for its spectacular fights… Exotic and rugged action guaranteed!!!

It's summer and Cyril makes the trip to the tundra of the great Canadian North, to the land of the Inuit people, with two fish in mind: A big, fat arctic char and a trophy brook trout. With the warm temperatures, many char and trout return to the rivers from the salt waters of Ungava bay, where they have been gorging themselves. Whatever it takes, spinning or on the fly, Cyril is determined to put his hands on a big char. After landing on a dirt air strip in the middle of the beautiful no man's land that is the arctic tundra, Cyril meets with Daniel, a local guide who loves his char and trout. Together they set out to catch big arctic char and they are not disappointed! Once part one of their mission is completed, Cyril, with his relentless appetite for catching fish, now dreams of catching a trophy brook trout. There are plenty of big female sea run trout that take Cyril's fly, but it's the fat, hooked jaw male brookie that he's here to stalk and fight!

ABITIBI-TEMISCAMINGUE, QUEBEC, CANADA
Cyril is in Abitibi-Temiscamingue, Québec, Canada, directly North of New York state. He's heard that the beautiful region offers all kinds of fishing opportunities for many different species. His trip will definitely confirm what he's heard as he'll catch walleye, pike, small mouth bass and even some fresh water drum. His trip starts at the St-Cyr Royal outfitters, the only five star fly-in outfitters in Québec. After catching loads of walleye, he'll go after some hard fighting fesh water drum or sheephead, but first he'll make a quick stop at the Pageau animal refuge. There, along with the refuge's founder Michel, Cyril will release two black bears back into their wild environment. Finally, it's on to some really good small mouth bass fishing at La Réserve Beauchêne, a top of the line outfitters for small mouth bass: certainly one of the best spots to catch smallmouth across not only Québec, but Canada in general.
