As he listened to a recent Red Sox-Yankees showdown on his car radio, Page 2's David Halberstam was struck by two thoughts: 1) The pennant races are going to be terrific this year, and 2) If a strike cancels everything in September, he won't give a damn. Like many who enjoy the national pastime, Halberstam is so fed up with the owners and players that he's ready to find other ways to spend his time.

Selling the LPGA Reel Life
It's no secret that LPGA commissioner Ty Votaw wants to increase the sex appeal of women's golf. But Page 2's Eric Immerman has learned some shocking new details about just how far Votaw is willing to go. Check out the secret memo to all LPGA players that we found.
Believe it or not, "Caddyshack" had some scenes based on factual events. Loosely, that is. Page 2's Jeff Merron takes a closer look at the comedy classic, discovering, among other things, the truth about the Dalai Lama. So he's got that going for him, which is nice.

MAKIN' IT BETTER
Do not adjust your set. SportsCenter has not been pre-empted by "That '70s Show." If you're mistaking Andruw Jones for Hank Aaron, it's because a lot of baseball teams are wearing vintage uniforms this month. Check out the throwback jerseys and vote for your favorite in Makin' It Better.

After Page 2 offered its list of the 10 most shocking moments in baseball history, more than 1,500 readers weighed in with their choices. Check out our readers' top 10 and then vote in the poll to pick baseball's biggest stunner.

10]  Giants, Dodgers head west
"The Giants and Dodgers leaving New York completely changed the game of baseball and led inevitably to the mess of today. There'd be no talk of contraction or moving teams from city to city and league to league without the actions of "pioneers" like Walter O'Malley."
9]  Pete Rose banned for betting on baseball
"Whether or not he did it is not the point. It's only that a man had a part of his body cut off, and everyone was around to see him bleed."
8]  Umpire John McSherry collapses to his death on the field
"It was the most shocking thing I've ever seen on a baseball field. To see him stumbling back from the plate ... it was just disturbing."
