LL Cool J is in two of them. Even Robert De Niro and Al Pacino have made one. Imagine a world where everything was like a sports movie. It's easy if you try. All professional sports teams would be owned by attractive blondes with annoying little dogs. Every team would have a dance routine. And all boxers would train on secluded beaches. Page 2's Eric Immerman lists the traditional elements found in the typical sports flick.

What's Hot, What's Not Ralph Wiley
Serena Williams admits that her new outfit isn't for everyone, but it's still a hot little number. In fact, it's the hottest thing on this week's Hot List from Page 2's Dan Shanoff. But is it the best thing in Serena's fashionable closet? Makin' It Better asks you to play Mr. Blackwell.
"Eye-popping." "Neck-snapping knockout of a boxing film." What sounds like the platitudes taken from the movie poster of "Raging Bull," Page 2's third-best sports movie of all-time, are actually from Page 2 columnist Ralph Wiley's review of "Undisputed."

WIN, LOSE OR DRAW
While players and owners continue to talk in New York, Page 2 cartoonist Larry Johnson wonders if either side actually hears the fans. Judging by all the signs we've seen in the ballparks recently, the paying customers are not a very happy bunch.

We've already asked you to vote for Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Moment, so today we turn our attention to the Best Actress in a sports movie. Check out our top 10, and then vote to pick the winner.

10]  Julie Christie in "Heaven Can Wait" (1978)
While angels float (metaphorically) throughout the plot, Christie, in her role as English teacher Betty Logan, seems to do so almost literally. As one ESPN.com wag put it, "she's luminescent."
9]  Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in "The Color of Money" (1986)
Mastrantonio was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Carman, the sexy girlfriend of young pool hustler Vincent (Tom Cruise).
8]  Sanaa Lathan in "Love and Basketball" (2000)
Lathan shines in her role as Monica Wright, a tough, tomboyish, stubborn and beautiful player navigating the minefields of, well, love and basketball.
7]  Lindsay Crouse in "Slap Shot"
While the Chiefs were out having fun, our hearts ached for Crouse's Lily, the neglected, lonely and scared hockey wife stuck in Charlestown.
