He isn't in Andy Rooney's league, but The Sports Guy occasionally offends the fairer sex, too. Bill Simmons recently struck a nerve with Page 2's Chris McKendry when he published his 10 rules for women who want to watch sports with men. In the interest of equal time, McKendry counters with a list our female readers should enjoy.

At first glance, an NBA exhibition game is about as exciting as reading the league's collective bargaining agreement. But if you concentrate during the preseason -- something most vets have trouble doing -- you can learn a lot. Page 2's Charley Rosen watched last week's Cavs-Nets game in Albany, N.Y. with an eye on the details that might escape the average fan.

The Sports Guy Critical Mass
If it's October, it's time for the World Series, Halloween ... and replays of Bill Buckner's error in the '86 Series. Like most folks in Boston, Page 2's Bill Simmons has some serious issues with Buckner -- but The Sports Guy is officially changing his stance. Simmons says it's time to lay off Billy Buck because the poor guy has suffered enough.
A lot of folks are already dumping on the upcoming World Series, calling it a no-name affair (not counting Barry Bonds) of interest only to California whackos. Page 2's Eric Neel begs to differ ... and he puts his money where his mouth is, offering 10 reasons why you would be wise to stay glued to your TV throughout the Fall Classic.

WIN, LOSE OR DRAW
Terrell Owens' pen has already gotten too much ink, but Page 2 cartoonist Larry Johnson still can get over T.O.'s signature move. We're also wondering what else Owens might have stashed in his uniform and how his over-the-top celebration might change the NFL.

Now that the underdog Angels are in the World Series, Page 2 lists our top 10 playoff upsets in baseball history. Take a look at our list, then send us your pick for the biggest playoffs shocker. Later this week, we'll compile our readers' list along with a poll to crown the biggest upset of them all.

10]  Reds over A's in 1990 World Series
The Sporting News said that "not since 1954 had the outcome of a World Series appeared such a foregone conclusion."
9]  Diamondbacks over Yankees in 2001 World Series
Luis Gonzalez's single in the bottom of the ninth to win Game 7 -- against the "unbeatable" Mariano Rivera -- capped one of the most memorable finishes.
8]  White Sox over Cubs in 1906 World Series
Though the Cubs had led the NL in batting (.262 average), the Sox (whose seven home runs on the year and anemic team batting average of .230 had earned them the nickname of "The Hitless Wonders") won the Series by outhitting the Cubs.
