Forget Jack Nicholson. We'll take LeBron James as Best Actor. "Chicago" was a nice film, but we're more partial to the Allan H. Selig production of "Milwaukee." Salma Hayek was great in "Frida," but we expect Serena Williams to take home the statuette. Yes, the Oscar nomations are out in Hollywood ... and on Page 2.

Reports of The Sports Guy's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Yes, that's right: For the second day in a row, Bill Simmons has penned an original NBA column for Page 2 -- this time, looking at the less fortunate teams in the Association who are all vying for the rights to draft that LeBob guy. This follows his running diary off Sunday night's All-Star extravanganza.

Jason Whitlock The Daily Quickie
Are you amused at the antics of the Colts (Dungy, Manning and an "idiot kicker")? Are you amazed at the success of the Pacers, co-leaders in the NBA East? Not half as much as Indy native Jason Whitlock, who is more than happy to gloat about "The Nap."
The drug arrest of "Steven" ("Hey, dude, you're getting a Dell!)" was the lone bright spot on one of the sports world's dullest days, but dull is just another challenge for the Daily Quickie, which found a lot of fun, obscure stuff to riff on.

NBA ALL-STAR REVIEW
From Mariah's dress to Michael's would-be game-winner to Jermaine O'Neal's silly foul, the NBA All-Star Game was filled with many unforgettable sights. Page 2 recaps all the hot scenes from Hot'lanta and finds even the NBA's best are thinking about King James.

It has infected Pat Riley, Mike Vanderjagt and umpire Bruce Froemming over the last couples weeks. It's called "foot-in-mouth disease," and it causes otherwise rational people to say very stupid things. Page 2 looks at the top 10 all-time cases of "foot-in-mouth" and asks you to vote for the No. 1.

10]  Derrick Coleman, 1994
Shortly after Kenny Anderson, the Nets All-Star guard, went AWOL for a day in Dec. 1994 and missed a Nets practice, teammate Derrick Coleman responded to reporters' questions about the incident by simply saying: "Whoop-de-damn-do. I didn't feel he owed anybody an apology."
9]  Charlie Ward, 2001
The Knicks guard touched off a firestorm in the Big Apple when his comments from a Bible study group where published in the New York Times Magazine. Among them: "Jews are stubborn;" "There are Christians getting persecuted by Jews every day;" and "They had blood on their hands."
8]  Charlie Dressen, 1951
In August 1951, with the Giants way out of the running, Brooklyn manager Charlie Dressen said, "The Giants is dead." Unfortunately for Dressen, they came back to life, erasing a 13½ game deficit to tie the Dodgers and force a playoff for the NL pennant. Nobody heard what Dressen had to say after Bobby Thomson's shot buried the Dodgers.
