Everybody cheats in college basketball. Only those who take wild, crazy liberties with the NCAA rulebook get caught. Page 2's Tim Keown says that's why every program could use a rulebook on how to cheat and get away with it ... and he's more than happy to provide it.

KG for MVP The Water Cooler
Let's get two things straight: 1.) Kevin Garnett should be the NBA MVP, and 2.) KG's 2002-03 season ain't much different than his past campaigns. Page 2's Eric Neel says that's exactly why Garnett should refuse to accept the award if he wins -- to shove it in the face of the critics who have dogged him for so long.
Remember when UCLA and UNC were hoop powerhouses? You know, back when students only rushed the court after truly landmark wins? Page 2's Brian Murphy can forgive the Heels for their wild celebration after upsetting Duke, but he can't accept the way his beloved Bruins carried on after beating lowly Washington.

THE DAILY QUICKIE
All right, March Madness is officially under way now. When the Daily Quickie spotted Hollywood hottie Ashley Judd in the crowd at a Kentucky road game, we immediately knew the games were big-time. With so much on the line, the DQ rates the winners and losers.

10]  Peter Ueberroth on collusion: "You can't get 26 owners to agree on anything"
Some charged baseball's owners with colluding to hold down salaries -- a clear violation of the collective bargaining agreement -- as early as 1985. Ueberroth denied anything of the sort, but the owners were eventually found guilty to the tune of $280 million.
9]  David Wells: I was "half-drunk" when I pitched my perfect game
Unless you've been out of the country for the last two weeks, you know this story very well by now. The hefty lefty now claims that he was misquoted in his autobiography.
8]  Tim Johnson: "I saw combat in 'Nam"
Johnson, in his first year as a big-league skipper in 1998, motivated his Blue Jays by telling them stories about his days of combat as a marine in Vietnam. Trouble is, it was all a lie ... and it eventually cost Johnson his job.
