When We Was Fab ... Wacky Bracket
Ten years ago, the members of Michigan Fab Five ended their fabled run as trailblazers in hoops style, not to mention destroyers of college basketball conventional wisdom. Page 2's Eric Neel reflects on the ways five talented freshmen changed the way we looked at the game, the clothes we wore, and the meaning of the word "team."
Top-seeded Michael Jackson is in action today as play begins in the Dr. Melfi Region of Page 2's Wacky Bracket Tournament. Rasheed, Iron Mike, Tonya and Tony Soprano are also among the "misunderstood" competing in the Melfi bracket. It's also not too late to vote on the matchups in the Joan Rivers Region.

10]  LSU beats Kentucky, advances to the Final Four (1986)
LSU, seeded 11th in the Southeast, had already lost three times to No. 1 Kentucky during the season. It seemed destined to be a doomed year for the Bayou Bengals. But in the tourney, they scored three straight upsets -- over Purdue, Memphis State, and Georgia Tech. Then they stunned Kentucky 59-57, becoming the lowest seed ever to reach the Final Four.
9]  Little Rock ousts the Irish (1986)
Tenth-ranked Notre Dame went into its first round game at the Metrodome as 17-point favorites over the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans. The Irish played well, but the 14th-seeded Trojans played a near-perfect second half, going 15-for-19 from the field to win 90-83.
8]  Santa Clara beats Arizona, clobbers the spread (1993)
The 15th-seeded Broncos were 20-point underdogs against the Wildcats, who they faced in the first round of the West Regional. Santa Clara survived a mid-game run of 25 straight points by the No. 2 seeded Wildcats to win 64-61.
