A lot of critics, including Page 2's Tim Keown, are blasting the Baseball Hall of Fame for cancelling its "Bull Durham" anniversary celebration. However, if you go back and look closely at the 1988 film -- like our Jim Caple did -- you will find that Nuke LaLoosh and Co. delivered many subliminal messages that are anti-American.

Page 2's Charley Rosen is tight with Phil Jackson. And the Lakers are seriously surging as the season ends. So, how did Rosen grade the Zenmaster in his report card for coaches in the NBA's Western Conference? Not as high as you might think. Certainly not as high as Detroit's Rick Carlisle, who ranked at the head of the class in the East.

Dear MJ ... The Daily Quickie
From 100 to 20,000, numbers were everything to Wilt Chamberlain. We've got a hunch they mean a lot to Michael Jordan, too. With MJ needing just 17 more points to maintain his record for career scoring average, Page 2's Eric Neel imagines what the Big Dipper might say to His Airness about his numerical résumé.
Hey, if we were dating Tyra Banks, we might have trouble thinking straight, too. So, Page 2's Daily Quickie doesn't fault Chris Webber when he says the Kings' problems with the Lakers are "not mental." The DQ's mind is also clouded with thoughts of Iverson, FSU football, the Masters and all this "Bull Durham" nonsense.

MASTERS OF OUR DOMAIN
Augusta National has turned into one big, sloppy mess this week. Page 2's Sportoon finds that not all the problems are being caused by Martha and Ma Nature. Although Hootie shows no signs of caving in, Ralph Wiley says it's only a matter of time before the club admits its first female member.

After Monday's national championship, the Syracuse Orangemen can call themselves the best -- for this year anyway. In honor of the end of the 2003 NCAA tournament, Page 2 looks back on the 10 greatest college basketball teams in history. Check out our list and vote for the top college cagers of all time.

10]  1960 Ohio State Buckeyes (25-3)
Led by sophomore Jerry Lucas and fellow starter John Havlicek, the Buckeyes rolled through the tournament, winning every game by at least 15 points.
9]  1957 North Carolina Tar Heels (32-0)
After taking out Michigan St. in triple-overtime, the Tar Heels capped their undefeated season by containing Kansas' Wilt Chamberlain in the final, also in triple-overtime, 54-53.
8]  1956 San Francisco Dons (29-0)
Even without K.C. Jones, the Dons won their second consecutive tiler and extended their unbeaten streak to 55 games -- thanks to a center named Bill Russell.
