Sports aren't kind, not to the critters who hang 'round the games. Just ask Harvey the Hound about Craig MacTavish, the cat who got Harvey's tongue. Or those defenseless Detroit octopi. Then there's the sad case of Ozzy the Osprey, victimized by a pitcher's fastball. Parental Guidance is advised as we catalogue Man's Inhumanity to Man's Best Friends. THE LIST: A CAUSE FOR PAWS

It isn't as if she wanted hearts, flowers and candlelight. Page 2's Stacey Pressman isn't that demanding. Maybe a little sushi and some intelligent conversation, with a dash of Mel Gibson thrown in for good measure. That's all she wanted. But she got more. Much more. Here it is, her kiss-and-tell story.

The Daily Quickie Best Baller Alive
Page 2 wouldn't be Page 2 if we didn't bring you "Larry Eustachy Gone Wild." All the hits are here, from Larry's favorite party schools to our investigation of his wild night on campus. Of course, the Daily Quickie weighs in, too, with Iowa State's new recruiting guide and Larry's late-night job search.
Kobe? KG? Shaq? Sure, they're nice players. But Page 2's Ralph Wiley will take T-Mac anyday. We already knew that Mr. McGrady can go where no man has gone before on the court. Now it's clear that he has another extremely rare quality: unselfishness. In the NBA, that's cause for celebration.

10 BURNING QUESTIONS WITH NELLY
Why is this man smiling? Because even if it doesn't stay "Hot in Herre" for him, he can always go back to the diamond. Page 2 took the opportunity to ask 10 Burning Questions of Nelly, including the top-secret directions to Nellyville.

NHL playoff hockey. Sudden-death overtime. Sometimes, slow-death overtime, like when the Ducks beat the Stars in the fourth-longest game in NHL history last week. Lots of great playoff games have gone long. So we give you … Page 2's list of the greatest NHL playoff overtime games of all time . Vote on which one you think goes the distance.

10]  Boston Bruins 4, St. Louis Blues 3 (Stanley Cup finals, Game 4, 1970, one OT)
Bobby Orr scored 40 seconds into OT to complete the Bruins sweep of the Blues producing one of the greatest sports photos of all time.
9]  N.Y. Islanders 3, Washington Capitals 2 (Patrick Division semifinals, Game 7, April 18, 1987, four OTs)
The Caps had the home ice advantage --a loud, sellout crowd of 18,130 -- but New York goalie Kelly Hrudey and the offense of Bryan Trottier were too much for Washington to handle.
8]  L.A. Kings 6, Edmonton Oilers 5 (Smythe Division semifinals, Game 3, April 10, 1982, one OT)
The Oilers led 5-0 after two periods, but in the third period, the lowly Kings -- they'd finished the season with a 24-41-15 record -- caught fire, scoring five goals, including one with five seconds left, to send the game into OT. The rest in history.
