Everybody else is talking about Kobe's image these days, so why shouldn't the real experts weigh in on what's working and what isn't in his recent appearances. Page 2's Graham Hays dreams up the "Queer Eye" treatment for Kobe. Plus, Kurt Snibbe's Sportoon picks up a fork for a taste of the media feeding frenzy.

Page 2's Underrated Week continues with Jeff Merron's look at our All-Time Most Underrated Athletes -- the best of the rest, those stars like the former Colt Lenny Moore who deserve better than they get from history. Do we appreciate Ray Guy as much as we should? Or Stan Musial? Maybe this list will help.

Ballpark Tour The Sports Guy
Wrigley Field isn't listed as one of America's national parks, but Page 2's Jim Caple says it ought to be. As our Ballpark Tour spends an unforgettable afternoon in the Friendly Confines, those newer stadiums are forgotten.
What happens when you finally get a chance to meet -- and even write about -- one of your childhood heroes? It could've been a dicey proposition for Page 2's Bill Simmons, but Fred Lynn came through with flying colors.

THE DAILY QUICKIE
The Daily Quickie says it's one thing to miss a meeting with Marcus Allen, but it's something else when Maurice Clarett misses Photo Day at Ohio State. Plus, all Kobe all the time, and Terry Porter proves you can go home again.

They're the athletes we don't think about as much as we should, those who are better than we think they are. They are top 10 most underrated current athletes:

10]  Jamal Mashburn
He averaged 21.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists last year for the Hornets -- and finally made his first All-Star Game.
9]  Brian Giles
He only seems to get publicity when his name is mentioned in trade talks, but he's one of baseball's very best hitters -- better, in fact, than Bernie Williams.
8]  Mike Brown
The Chicago Bears safety has yet to make a Pro Bowl, but head coaches know how good this intense, hard-hitting DB is -- and so do the Bears, who just gave him a $5 million signing bonus.
