It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it. So Page 2's Brian Murphy sings the praises of the Yankees and the Marlins, even if the World Series they're currently playing isn't the matchup most people wanted to see. Here, then, are five reasons to watch, including Ronan Tynan's rendition of "God Bless America."

The Sports Guy's Lament The Daily Quickie
A weekend's worth of reflection didn't change the result; the Red Sox still lost. It didn't change Bill Simmons' thinking about Grady Little, either. Four days after the fact, the Sports Guy still says Little has to go.
Somebody is lucky that Warren Sapp is still playing, but it isn't Sapp. The Daily Quickie says Paul Tagliabue has it backward. Plus, who's No. 2 in the Yankees' all-time World Series rotation?

PAGE 2'S WORLD SERIES RANKINGS
They started playing the World Series 100 years ago, and Page 2 ranks them all -- including that phenomenal Series that starred Kirby Puckett back in 1991. Was the Twins' seven-game win over Atlanta the best ever?

All we can say is: Red Sox and Cubs fans, we still feel your pain. Those were devastating losses last week. But were they so agonizing that they make our list of the most painful losses in baseball history?
10]  Cubs Lose 1984 NLCS
The Cubs lead the Padres 3-2 in the seventh inning of the deciding game. But Tim Flannery's routine grounder goes through first baseman Leon Durham's legs, and the Cubs' misery continues.
9]  Indians Lose to Marlins
Cleveland has a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the ninth in Game 7 -- three outs away from a World Series title in 1997. But the Indians lose to Florida in the bottom of the 11th.
