Remember that wild night behind the stadium? We think that's when she was conceived. Anyway, Page 2's first offspring comes fully loaded with the entertainment hoo-haa you'd expect from us: Ashton's new movie, those sporting Simpsons, and Tony Soprano's innermost thoughts. Just don't ask us who the mother is . . .

Such a scene! There's Pooky, pinning the lovely Rasha up against the wall of his full-court trap and daring her to find the outlet man. Just in the nick of time, in walks Hollywood Jock. By the time Page 2's Rob Ryder walks out, he's got a promise of Pooky's movie help and some seriously cool beans.

Factory Blowout! Hype Help
So the Brewers are on the market now. That might be a tough sell, if it weren't for the fact that the man trying to peddle them is a former used-car salesman. Page 2's Jim Caple has Bud Selig's sales pitch.
Hmmm, the Panthers vs. the Patriots . . . not exactly a hype-ready Super Bowl matchup, is it? Page 2's Tim Keown wonders if we're up to the task. At least we'll have Ted Washington's belly for inspiration.

THE DAILY QUICKIE
From waaaaaay up in his Bob Uecker seats, the Daily Quickie envies Tom Brady's view of the State of the Union address and wonders if Brady can get the President's ear on the steroid issue. Plus, who needs LeBron?

Now that talk of Peyton Manning's fairy-tale playoffs has ended, it's time for an appreciation of the greatest postseason quarterbacks in the Super Bowl era. And maybe, just maybe, the man who beat Manning in the AFC Championship Game ought to be considered. But is Tom Brady's 5-0 postseason record good enough to make our list?

10]  Roger Staubach, Dallas (18 games)
His statistics won't put him in the playoff record books, but the man was a winner -- first, last and in-between. Captain Comeback was spectacular in compiling a 12-6 postseason record.
9]  Joe Theismann, Washington (8 games)
Theismann's postseason QB rating of 91.4 is among the highest in NFL history, even if his other numbers weren't prolific. By expertly managing his postseason opportunities, he compiled a 6-2 record.
8]  Brett Favre, Green Bay (19 games)
Favre holds the record for consecutive playoff games with a TD pass (15 and counting), and moved into third place on the all-time playoff passing yardage list. Doesn't hurt that he won Super Bowl XXXI, either.

The president of FIFA says women soccer players need to wear "tighter shorts" to help out their sport. The Writers' Bloc may not pay much attention to women's sports, but they did pay attention to this comment.
