Odds: 9:1
History: Seventh team, following Lightning (twice), Sharks, Blues, Mighty Ducks, Sabres and Capitals.
The scoop: Serviceable defenseman would add depth to any team's blue line. Preds already traded one veteran defenseman, so Houlder could be next to go in youth movement.

Tony Hrkac
Mighty Ducks of Anaheim

Wt: 184 lbs
Age: 34
Stats: 12G, 19A, 31Pts, +5, 27PIM
Salary: $600,000
Odds: 5:1 (10:1 he'll be traded to Stars)
History: Eighth team, following Islanders, Stars (twice), Oilers, Blues (twice), Blackhawks, Sharks and Nordiques.
The scoop: Only safe Duck is Paul Kariya, so teams needing a third- or fourth-line center can grab Hrkac. Played for 1999 Cup champion Stars.

Bobby Dollas
San Jose Sharks

Age: 36
Stats: 1G, 1A, 2Pts, +4, 14PIM
Salary: $500,000
Odds: 8:1
History: Ninth team, following Flames, Senators, Penguins, Oilers, Mighty Ducks, Red Wings, Nordiques and Jets.
The scoop: Give him credit for perseverance. Began this season with Manitoba Moose of the IHL. Sharks have been busy trading already, so they might be finished dealing.
