Page 2's Power Poll dares to rate the teams that are currently wielding the most power in the entire sports universe.

Each week, our poll will rank the 10 teams at the top of the power heap -- and the five teams that have lost the most power in the past week. And, by the way, Page 2 uses its own definition for a "team" -- any group of two or more bonded together for the common purpose.

Our Momentum Meter also predicts the direction these teams will be heading in future weeks (see the bottom of the page for a full explanation).

1. Los Angeles Lakers	Cruising along playoff freeway. Final stop: A perfect postseason?


2. New Jersey Devils	After shutting down two Hart finalists (Jagr and Lemieux), Devils can concentrate on one (Sakic).


3. Colorado Avalanche	At least one Ray of hope.


4. Philadelphia 76ers	Another week, another individual award.


5. Stocks and Bonds	Stocks rally after yearlong slump, while interest in Barry Bonds keeps climbing.


6. Seattle Mariners	Just teasing others into thinking they can match majors' best team.


7. NFL	Gotta hand it to Tags. He beats Al Davis in court, and Raiders owner still falls in line on realignment.


8. Bayern Munich	European champions erase painful memories of 1999 disaster.


9. Minnesota Twins	Making believers all over.


10. Washington Wizards	If we didn't believe D.C. was an honest town, we'd cry conspiracy.

2. Disappearing superstars		At least Admiral's fired up, which is more than could be said about sulking Jagr.


1. Reinsdorf's teams		Bulls' ping-pong balls don't drop right, while ChiSox can't drop Boomer fast enough.
