Stuart Adamson (pictured in 1988) is found dead Dec. 16 after committing suicide in his hotel room near the Honolulu International Airport. Adamson was the lead singer and guitarist for the Scottish rock band Big Country, which scored its biggest hit, "In a Big Country," in 1983. City coroners ruled Adamson, 43, had a high blood-alcohol level in his system when he hanged himself.
