ABOUT THIS BLOG

John Oreovicz
John Oreovicz lives in the shadows of Turn 1 of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
His interest in racing was sparked by the battle between Niki Lauda and James Hunt for the 1976 Formula One World Championship, and he can remember watching the 1977 Long Beach Grand Prix and the 1979 Daytona 500 on the family RCA XL-100 television as if they happened yesterday.
These days, you're likely to find him at Pomona covering drag racing or Phoenix reporting on stock cars in addition to his usual role as one of the IndyCar Series' pressroom veterans.
With more than a decade writing for ESPN.com, his work has been published in more than a dozen countries around the world, and he co-authored "A Winning Adventure," a chronicle of Honda's successful CART Indy car engine program.
