Reckell topped celebs in '03

The lineup for the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race
that takes place during the Long Beach Grand Prix weekend is led by
Sean Astin, one of the stars of the Oscar-winning film "Lord of
the Rings: The Return of the King."

The 10-lap race on the 1.97-mile downtown Long Beach street
circuit is scheduled for April 17. The event will help Toyota raise
more than $100,000 for "Racing for Kids," a nonprofit program
benefiting Southern California children's hospitals in Long Beach
and Orange County.

Astin will be joined by rap/hip hop artist Lil' Kim, Frankie
Munoz of the "Agent Cody Banks" films and Fox's "Malcolm in the
Middle," Andrew Firestone of ABC's "The Bachelor," Carlos
Bernard of Fox's "24," boxer Laila Ali, Andrea Parker of ABC's
"Less Than Perfect," Chris McDonald of Fox's "Cracking Up,"
Melissa Joan Hart of ABC's "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," Liza
Snyder of CBS' "Yes, Dear," and Tony Potts of "Access
Hollywood."

Peter Reckell, a regular on NBC's "Days of Our Lives" soap,
won last year's race as a celebrity and is returning this year to
compete as a pro. He joins 2002 winner Dara Torres, an Olympic
swimming champion, open-wheel and sports car racer Max Papis and
jet boat racing champion Mike Follmer.

St. Louis Rams safety Jason Sehorn dropped out of the race
because of a foot injury.
