Marcus Vick, a Top 150 quarterback from Newport News-Warwick, Va., has chosen Virginia Tech over Virginia. Others were Tennessee, Florida, Florida State and Miami. The Hokies recently added verbals from defensive lineman/linebacker Darryl Tapp of Chesapeake-Deep Creek, Va; receiver Brenden Hill of Newport News-Warwick, Va., over Virginia; and running back Mike Imoh of Fairfax-Robinson, Va., over Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Wake Forest.
Top 150 Quarterback Chris Davis of St. Petersburg-Catholic, Fla., picked Florida State over Boston College, Florida, South Florida and Southern California. The Seminoles recently added Top 150 linebacker A.J. Nicholson of Winston-Salem/Mount Tabor, NC., over Miami, Tennessee, North Carolina and Texas. Continuing their recruiting rush, the Virginia Cavaliers have a pledge from touted running back Wali Lundy of Willingboro-Holy Cross, NJ., over Boston College, North Carolina and Rutgers. Virginia recently gained two of the nation's top defensive prospects in linebacker Ahmad Brooks of Newport News-Heritage, Va., and linebacker/lineman Kai Parham of Virginia Beach-Princess Anne, Va; plus Top 150 running back Michael Johnson of Newport News-Heritage, Va.
Top 150 H-back/running back/linebacker Nate Schiccatano of Catawissa-Southern Columbia, Pa., has verballed to Notre Dame over interest in Iowa and Michigan State. Miami-Florida added Top 150 defensive back Travarious Bain of Miami-Northwestern, Fla., over Arkansas, North Carolina State, Georgia and Florida.
