Top 100 forward Kris Humphries, a Class 2003
prospect from Minnetonka-Hopkins, Minn., has received a qualified release
from his signed letter to Duke and coach Mike Krzyzewski. Other
possible programs may include Minnesota, Indiana and Kansas.
Humphries averaged 25.5 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, five steals
and 2.5 blocks as a senior. He was named Mr. Basketball in Minnesota and to
the Parade and McDonald's All American teams.
Junior forward Zach Williams of
Brooklyn-Christ the King, NY., is transfering from Ohio State. He started 22 games during
2002-03.
Freshman forward Marcus Morrison of St.
Petersburg-Lakewood, Fla., is transfering from South Carolina. He played in 20 of 28
games as a reserve, averaging two points.
Miami-Florida has signed Class 2003
guard Anthony Harris of Chicago-Whitney
Young, Ill., who drew interest from Memphis, Fresno State and Pittsburgh.
Damion Staple, a Class 2003
forward from Southeastern Illinois CC, Ill., has made his signing with Iowa State firm after meeting with new
coach Wayne Morgan. He had expressed doubt following the coaching change.
Class 2003 forward Mike Travis of CC of San Francisco,
who was released from his letter to Texas Tech, has chosen Jackson State.

forward Herbert Jones of Allegany CC, Md.
