One of the most highly sought quarterbacks in the class of 2004, Top 150 prospect Chad Henne of West Lawn-Wilson, Pa., has chosen Michigan over Penn State. Henne, who also considered Miami-Florida, Georgia and Tennessee among nearly 40 offers, passed for 2093 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior.
Class 2004 Top 150 quarterback Robbie Reid of Galena Park-North Shore, Tex., has committed to Oklahoma State over Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas State, Ohio State, Syracuse and Tennessee, among many others.
Class 2004 defensive lineman Dane Randolph of Columbia-Wilde Lake, Md., has committed to Maryland over Virginia and Penn State. The Terps recently gained linebacker/quarterback Erin Henderson of Aberdeen, Md., over Virginia. Purdue and North Carolina were also involved.
The Oregon State Beavers pledged Class 2004 defensive back/receiver/running back T.R. Smith of Portland-Jefferson, Ore. The Beavers recently gained running back/linebacker Mike Jones of Portland-Jesuit, Ore; quarterback Michael Perri of Covina-Charter Oak, Cal., and receiver Zach Tarver of Portland-Jesuit, Ore.
Washington State has Class 2004 commitments from defensive back/receiver Michael Willis of Tacoma-Lincoln, Wash., and defensive lineman/tight end Jacob McKinney of Puyallup, Wash. The Cougars recently gained linebacker Bryan Baird of Vancouver-Columbia River, Wash. Class 2004 Football Database
