Top 100 guard Jason Rich of Orlando-Dr. Phillips, Fla., is headed to Florida State over Kentucky. He averaged 23 points as a junior. The Seminoles recently gained Top 100 guard Isaiah Swann of Rockville-Magruder, Md/Oak Hill Academy, Va/Hargrave MA, Va., over UConn. Among others were Arizona, Cincinnati and Maryland.
Top 100 forward Brian Johnson of Oak Hill Academy, Va., has chosen Louisville over Arizona, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina and Notre Dame, among others.
Forward/center Darian Townes of Hargrave MA, Va., has committed to Arkansas over George Washington. He had once signed with Georgetown.
Forward Negus McKenna of Montreal-Champlain St. Lambert, Ont., picked Western Carolina.
Duquesne has forwards Devario Hudson and Brian Kelly, both from Decatur-Columbia, Ga. Duquesne recently gained forward Chauncey Duke of Springfield, Mo., over interest from Florida State, Georgetown and Arkansas.
Center Charles Bronson of Philadelphia-Lutheran, Pa., is headed for East Carolina.
Indiana State gained guards Zach McGrath of Mountain Home, Ark., over offers from Arkansas-Little Rock, Samford, Stephen F. Austin, Oral Roberts and Texas Arlington; and Gabriel Moore of Little Rock-Mills, Ark.
IUPUI gained forward/guard Craig Swoope of Carmel, Ind., who averaged 16.8 points as a junior.
Canisius has a pledge from forward Marcus Vanderheide of Grandville-Calvin Christian, Mich.
Eastern Michigan gained forward Nick Freer of Stevensville-Lakeshore, Mich.
Buffalo pledged guard Wallace Hall of Detroit-Denby, Mich.
Forward/center Derek Quinet of San Jose-Santa Teresa, Cal/Idaho State/West Valley CC, Cal., pledged to Cal State-Fullerton. He also considered San Jose State, St. Mary's and Santa Clara.
Pepperdine has forward Oliver Prince of Toronto-Jean Vanier, Ont.
Junior college forward Marcus Johnson of Dearborn-Robichaud, Mich/Schoolcraft CC, Mich., has decommitted from Texas A&M and is considering South Florida, Iowa, Kansas State, Florida State and Murray State, among others.
Lafayette pledged center/forward Everest Schmidt of Hoopa-Hoopa Valley, Cal.
Forward Louis Graham of Winchendon School, Mass., picked Georgia Southern.
