Wednesday, September 12 Biffle, Sauter each lose 100 points Associated Press DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Drivers Greg Biffle and Jay Sauter were fined a total of $25,000 Wednesday and both were placed on probation until Dec. 31 by NASCAR officials. The penalties followed their actions during Friday night's Autolite Fram 250 at Richmond International Raceway. Biffle was fined $15,000 and lost 100 driver points for "... actions deemed by NASCAR officials as detrimental to stock car racing ... fighting." Sauter was fined $10,000 and penalized with the loss of 100 driver and owner points for "rough driving." Sauter's crew chief, Gene Nead, was fined $5,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31. NASCAR said Nead was responsible for the actions of his driver, car owner and team members.
