FORT WORTH, Texas -- A crew member for NASCAR Busch Series driver Tim Sauter was injured Saturday when he was hit by a loose tire during a pit stop in the O'Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Shawn Pincola, a front tire carrier for Sauter, was airlifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas after an initial examination at the infield care center.

Conscious and talking to medical personnel when he left the track, Pincola was released from the hospital Saturday night.

NASCAR did not provide details of Pincola's injuries.
