We spotlighted CART drivers Oriol Servia and Alex Tagliani. Here are your thoughts on their '02 campaigns and prospects for next season:

Oriol Servia
Oriol Servia
Some reliability? He'll have the same reliability as everyone else next year, right? Another no-name driver in CART.

Kent Christensen

I'm still trying to figure out how Oriol ended up in Townsend's seat. No doubt Bell made his share of rookie mistakes, but Oriol? Come on. As I recall, Servia didn't exactly have a stellar rookie season himself. Oriol may be easier on the equipment, but Townsend was Mr. Excitement. I predict another uneven and uneventful season for Servia. ZZZZZZZZZZZ. Bring back Mr. Excitement!

Oriol Servia is my favorite driver for several reasons. He is nice and knows how to treat fans, the always gives it 100 percent (who can forget Surfer's his rookie year?! Classic!), and let's not forget he is by far the hottest driver there is! I hope everything works out for him, he deserves the best.

Servia's OK. Nothing great, but nice to have another decent driver returning to the series. With all the new faces, CART needs a handful of recognizable holdovers.

Tatum Bronkenheimer

Alex Tagliani
Alex Tagliani
With the announcement of Alex's seat with Rocketsports Racing, the only thing standing between Tag and a successful, winning Champcar season are 17 (or more?) of the best drivers in the world. The Champcar playing field having been leveled, Tagliani's got as good of a chance as any of them. Best of luck!

It's great that Alex Tagliani has a ride for next season, but with three years of CART experience, I don't know if joining a new team is the right thing for him. It seems like he's going to be starting all over again. I hope he has better luck with the new team. I would love to see him win his first race really soon -- he's long overdue.

Tag better be fast and lucky this season. Bruno will be so strong, as well as all the ex-F3000 drivers.

H.C. Jover
Encino, Calif.

If Tagliani had been able to stay at Player's, he'd probably be a title contender this year. Instead, they replace him with Paul Tracy. What did Tracy do last year? Win one race, pick up some DNFs and mouth off. Oh yeah, he almost won that IRL race in May. Who cares? Tags deserves that ride -- now he's stuck with a new team and has no shot at a title.
